Staal Has Successful Surgery

A week after Marc Staal and the New York Rangers were bounced from the Conference Finals by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Staal underwent successful surgery to remove a bone chip from his ankle. He is expected to be ready for training camp.

Staal tallied 20 points this past season with a plus 18 rating. He signed long-term contract extension with the Rangers during the season and should be back next season.
